What is CryptoKittie?

First let me explain what Non-Fungible Tokens are. Think of Call Recharge Voucher or a piece of Art work. They are of value to you because you bought it with money which you can use or keep. You cannot go to ShopRite Mall to buy something with your Call Recharge Voucher or piece of Art work because they are of no value to Shoprite but you can still sell it directly to someone that might be interested. This means your Call Recharge voucher or piece of Art work is Non-Fungible because it can not be exchanged for goods or service. Fiat/Cash(naira) or Bitcoin alongside other cryptocurrencies are Fungible but there are some that are classified as Non-Fungible. Now replace the Call Recharge or piece of art with ‘Cryptokitties’ which is one of the Non-Fungible Tokens on the Ethereum blockchain.

CryptoKitties is a Cat-lover game on the #Ethereum #blockchain where users create their own special unique cat by either buying or breeding (joining two cats together and producing a unique cat) new ones. You might be thinking, what da Hell! This ‘Oyinbo’ people self. Well, currently the game has over 1.5million users worldwide that have spent over $6.5million buying and selling these virtual cats. Some users spend up to $100k to buy a virtual cat they like. The company recently raised $12million from investors and is expanding to Cat lovers in the Asian Market.

Now comes #KittieFight, so what is KittieFight?

KittieFight is a game project embarked upon by the SuperDao team to help reduce the ever increasing supply of Virtual Cats being produced by the users of CryptoKitties through a lock-down mechanism called “KittieHell” where Virtual Cats that loose during the game battle are thrown to and at the same time rewarding the Winning cat with a redeemable coin/cryptocurrency. Players that don’t want their cat to be locked away can still bail out their virtual cat with our token. So what determines the outcome of a fight and what is the cost of getting into a fight in respect to the gain? This I will explain after our Fight-Paper(KittieFight Whitepaper), website and blogpost is out. Will also explain how you can make money out of it.

I hope I have been able to come to the same wave-length with those that know nothing about Blockchain or find it hard to understand. You can visit CryptoKitties website www.cryptokitties.co to learn more. Meoooow! Puuurrrrrrr! 😺
